This vintage is much denser and more concentrated than the 2009 and in twenty years time, it may turn out to be the better wine.
At the moment, the 2009 is slightly superior in my view because of its generosity and balance.
Filled with densely packed dark berry flavours, crushed roses and violets, this is a brooding wine that will unleash its flavours very slowly over time.
